Say hello to Mattias - our new digital specialist

In November, Mattias Pettersson Wadman joined us as our new digital specialist. A crafty music fanatic who is passionate about digital marketing and always puts users first. Get to know him a little better here.

What is the best thing about being a digital specialist?

I enjoy being involved from start to finish in different projects and seeing all the pieces of the puzzle fall into place. I also like to engage people, which is why I find it extra fun to work with social media.

What is exciting about the Navigator?

To be able to work on strategic communication and really spend time on it. My previous positions have had a more technical focus, but here I get to work more hands on, which means that I get closer to the users. In addition, I think Navigator feels like a fun agency with many exciting customers.

What is your background?

After my master's degree in strategic communication, I have worked with a little bit of everything in digital marketing and especially SEO. I have worked in-house at several different companies that dealt with dating, vehicles and sustainability. Most recently I worked at a web agency in Malmö.

What experiences do you bring with you here?

Always put the recipient first. It's easy to focus on what you want to say instead of thinking about who it is you actually want to reach. For me, it's important that all communication stays together and doesn't spread too far in different directions.

What do you do to stay up-to-date?

I subscribe to a lot of different newsletters that constantly fill my inbox. Apart from that, I try to attend various lectures and seminars as often as I can. In my role, it is important to keep up to date with updates and trends.

Do you do anything exciting in your spare time?

Music is a hobby that has been with me since high school and I like playing guitar. Me and some friends usually meet up and play together but I don't dare to say that we are a band. As a consequence of the pandemic, I also developed a new hobby last year, namely perch fishing in Malmö's canals.

Do you have an unexpected talent to share?

I like to build furniture. I design them on my own and then I put them together. A while ago I made a site-built bookcase that actually turned out really well.
