Which channels should you use for inbound marketing?

September 17, 2021

With the right strategy, your inbound marketing quickly becomes an ecosystem for all your digital communications. All channels are interconnected and make your website your best salesperson by driving traffic and creating conversions. In this blog post, we outline which channels you should use for inbound marketing when you want to succeed in becoming a knowledge leader and attracting new customers.

Create a channel map

A clear channel map will help you get an overview of all the options, so you can start to prioritize and direct your activities. Because one thing is for sure, it will be difficult to maintain quality and frequency in all channels. You will need to prioritize the ones that are most important to your business and your target audiences.

The website

The website is the hub of all your communications and it's where you want to drive traffic. Besides hygiene factors like information about your products and services, you should have a continuously updated news and blog feed, as well as some kind of lead generation features. Blogging is a smart way to keep your site alive to rank higher on Google.

Landing pages

To generate conversions, you use landing pages. Each content offer should have its own landing page with a compelling headline and body text describing the benefits of downloading your material. The page should also include a form to help you collect relevant information about the user, such as name, email address and company. Read our five tips for creating a great landing page.

Email marketing

Digital mailings are a cost-effective way to reach customers in one of their most used channels - the inbox. A newsletter allows you to regularly communicate news, promotions and other offers directly to your target audience, keeping the relationship warm.

Using automated mailings saves you time and money, while getting better results from your email marketing. By setting up event-driven emails, you can drive visitors from need to decision more efficiently, without manual processing.

Influencer marketing

Influencers are the movie stars of our time and have endless possibilities to influence their followers. By hiring a carefully selected influencer and appearing on his or her channels, you can increase your brand awareness and gain more customers. It is an important channel in inbound marketing, as the content reaches a large audience and drives traffic to your website.

Social media

Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn, TikTok, Snapchat. The list goes on. But where are your followers? Social media is a great channel to build both your brand and relationships with your prospects, customers and ambassadors. You can also share news, blog posts and offers to drive traffic to your website.

Advertising

All search engines and social media are driven by algorithms that control what content is shown to each user. It has become increasingly difficult to grow organically and to really reach out with your inbound marketing campaigns, you need to supplement with advertising. Use Google Ads and sponsor your posts on Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn!
