With HubSpot to infinity and beyond

Av Ola Larsén on June 3, 2024

Are you already an experienced Hubspot user, or are you curious about what the platform can do for your organization? If so, you've come to the right place. HubSpot is a living, breathing organism with tentacles that now reach almost every digital touchpoint imaginable. In this blog post, we'll take a closer look at some of the valuable new features the tool offers.

More automated functions

Over the years, as a Solution Partner, Navigator has onboarded and helped a wide range of our customers into the expanding HubSpot universe. We have supported them by setting up flows for MQL and SQL, implementing lead scoring functionality and creating engaging SEO-optimized content in blog posts and on landing pages to build presence and generate conversions.

But today, HubSpot is much more than "just" an effective inbound marketing platform and an intuitive CRM system. The intensive development of key features in recent years has made the system far more advanced than that, and for those companies that choose to take advantage of the opportunities, HubSpot can add great value as the primary source of the organization's data-driven insights.

HubSpot gives you many sophisticated tools to track customers and prospects online and collect data and draw conclusions that make you even more relevant in your interactions. It helps you manage GDPR and other data protection initiatives so you can focus on creating effective user journeys - from a visitor's first encounter with you, such as on social media, to how they interact with you and convert into a sales-ready lead.

And with HubSpot's AI functionality, you can automatically generate and autopost social media posts from your created blog articles? These are just some of the cool new features on the platform. Of course, there's more.

Now also an advanced CMS

Most experienced users will know that you can use the platform to create what can be described as "virtual landing pages" that give the visitor the impression that they are on the website, but in reality they are inside the well-controlled world of HubSpot. It allows the company to track all the interactions visitors make, such as what they downloaded, what they signed up for, how they got there in the first place and what they did after they downloaded something.

Now there is the opportunity to take it one step further by HubSpot working on their CMS. Already today, we at Navigator have several customers who are well on their way to abandoning their traditional web platforms, whether it is Optimizely, Ubraco or WordPress in favor of Hubspot CMS.

Why do they choose that route? Hubspot CMS is far from the best CMS on the market. The secret lies in the overall platform structure. HubSpot was originally created to be able to customize effective inbound marketing with lead generation and other types of conversions. Now that it also has a comprehensive CMS, HubSpot can offer full control over the entire customer journey with the ability to collect data at all stages.

Management of products and services

HubSpot also has more aces up its sleeve. Perhaps the most prominent is the HubDB (Hubspot Database). With HubDB, you can also add the product and service level to the equation, allowing you to map, update and maintain all product information in direct connection with your Hubspot CMS. Instead of having multiple IT systems (often from multiple vendors), you can now have a single system for all information related to your marketing and sales.

For most marketers, this sounds like sweet music, but there are a few warning bells to listen for. The first is that the HubSpot CMS is still somewhat immature, meaning that some solutions need to be developed to suit individual specifications. The second is that the sets sometimes need to be supplemented with uniquely developed APIs to incorporate data from other external sources, for example.

Why HubSpot?

In conclusion, what are our lessons learned and what tips can we give to you who are considering introducing HubSpot as a tool in your organization?

  • HubSpot CMS is a powerful, flexible platform for creating and managing your websites, blogs, landing pages, easy-to-use applications, and email marketing while helping you benefit from data-driven insights.
  • Optimized lead flows allow you to create pop-up prompts and forms so that relevant content is offered to customers at the right time and place, optimizing your visitor-to-lead and lead-to-customer conversions.
  • HubSpot offers smart ways to manage both retargeting and remarketing in one solution.
  • HubDB allows you to create pages from structured data, which is easier to maintain and update in real time, and by using the content editor in HubDB, you can create customized modules to retrieve and reuse data in multiple places.

Conclusions are most important

Today, AI is at the center of almost everything we do, ensuring that future iterations of HubSpot will be even more powerful. But remember, there's a limit to what data itself can accomplish. What matters is how you interpret, analyze and use the data to improve and change your activities in the market.
